Yellow tagetes
Yellow tagetes is a common name for several species of flowering plants in the genus Tagetes, which belong to the aster family (Asteraceae). They are native to Mexico and Central America, but have been widely cultivated and naturalized in other regions. They have yellow, orange, or red flowers that are composed of ray and disc florets. The flowers are often used as ornamental plants, cut flowers, or companion plants for vegetables. They are also known as marigolds, and some species have edible or medicinal properties.
