Persian stock

Persian stock plant is a common name for Matthiola odoratissima, a flowering plant in the family Brassicaceae. It is native to Europe and Asia, but has been widely cultivated and naturalized in other regions. It has fragrant, four-petalled flowers in dense racemes or panicles, in colors such as white, pink, purple, or red.
