Nasturtium
Nasturtium is a common name for Tropaeolum, a genus of flowering plants in the family Tropaeolaceae, native to Central and South America. They are also known as Indian cress or canary creeper. They have round, green leaves and bright, funnel-shaped flowers with five petals and a spur. The flowers come in various colors, such as red, orange, yellow, pink, or white. Nasturtium is an annual or perennial plant that grows best in full sun, moist but well-drained soil, and cool conditions. It blooms from summer to fall and attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Nasturtium is edible and has a peppery flavor. The leaves, flowers, and seeds can be used in salads, soups, or sauces.
