Gaillardia
Gaillardia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to North and South America. They are also known as blanket flower, because of their colorful patterns and ability to cover the ground. They have daisy-like flowers with yellow, orange, red, or brown rays and yellow or brown disks. Gaillardia is a perennial or annual plant that grows best in full sun, poor soil, and dry conditions. It blooms from summer to fall and attracts butterflies and bees. Gaillardia is a popular ornamental plant for borders, containers, and cut flowers.
