It has feathery gray-green foliage and four-petaled flowers with a yellow center, in colors such as orange, yellow, red, pink, or white. California poppy plant is an annual or perennial plant that grows best in full sun, sandy, well-drained soil, and dry conditions. It blooms from summer to fall and attracts bees and butterflies.
